Booking and Payments

• •All lounge bookings require a £10 authentication per person. This covers no shows or missing guests within a group.
• •All art experiences are pre-paid in advance
• •No refunds after booking.
• •You can reschedule up to 72 hours before your sitting.
• •Mixed groups: if members of your party do not attend, the authentication fee is retained.
• •Card payments only.

General Session Policies

Lateness

• •Entry is not permitted after 10 minutes.
• •No refunds or rescheduling for lateness.

Instructor or Session Changes

Artists or hosts may change if needed. We will always ensure your experience remains high quality.

Session Duration

Session lengths may vary slightly depending on the activity.

Materials

All essential materials are included unless stated. Some activities may offer optional add-ons for purchase.

Venue Conduct and Behaviour

• •Please treat our team with kindness and respect to keep the atmosphere warm and welcoming.
• •Any damage to venue items or equipment must be covered by the customer. Charges match repair or replacement costs.
• •Prohibited behaviour includes aggression, disruption, unsafe actions or refusal to follow staff guidance.
• •Staff reserve the right to refuse service or ask guests to leave if safety or comfort is at risk.
• •Smoking or vaping is only allowed in the outside smoking area
• •We ask all guests to honour the space. Any form of taking or tampering with venue items is not aligned with the spirit of The Purple Owl and may result in being asked to leave.

Alcohol and Bar Policies

• •Brining alcohol from outside the venue is not permitted.
• •Please drink responsibly.
• •Our team may refuse service at their discretion.
• •Disruptive or unsafe intoxication may lead to removal from the venue.

Artwork Collection and Storage

• •Storage fee is £4 for artworks for up to 3 days.
• •Some items require drying or firing time. A collection timeframe will be given on the day in line with scheduling and kiln processing.
• •Lost artwork cannot be replaced. The Purple Owl is not liable for items misplaced or stored within the venue after creation.
• •Uncollected artwork may be recycled, upcycled, sold or donated once the storage period ends.
• •The Purple Owl is not responsible for damaged artwork.

Pottery and Kiln Policies

• •Kiln outcomes can vary. Cracks, glaze reactions or firing loss are part of the process and not the responsibility of the studio.
• •For safety, our team may override glazing choices if a combination is unsafe or unsuitable for firing.

Outside Food and Drink

• •Outside food and drink are not permitted to be brought into the venue.
• •Enjoy refreshments from our bar and café.

Children

Guests under 14 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

Personal Belongings

The Purple Owl is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.

Photography and Filming

• •We may capture photos and video for promotional use to be used on social and digital platforms. Tell a team member if you prefer not to be included.
• •Please respect other guests when taking your own photos or videos.

Health and Safety

• •First aid trained staff are on site.
• •Participation is at your own risk.
• •Guests are responsible for managing any allergies, including plants, scents, materials and food.
• •Certain tools and materials may require care. Please follow staff instructions when handling scissors, blades, hot wax, or similar items.
• •Current public health guidelines are followed.

Accessibility

• •The venue is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know in advance if you need assistance or adjustments.
• •Baby changing facilities are also provided.

Age Restrictions

• •ID may be required for alcohol.
• •Some workshops have specific age guidelines.
• •The venue is 18 plus after 7pm on all days of the week.

Emergencies

In the event of an emergency or evacuation, all guests must follow staff instructions immediately.

Pets

• •Well behaved dogs are welcome.
• •Disruptive pets may be asked to leave.
